What I already know about the contemporary period

The contemporary period is the most recent time era. It is the nodern day world. It started in 1939 and ends in the present day.

Why did I chose my topic?

 In the small town of Pasadena a tiny baby was born. It was 1997 and this baby was extraordinary because it was a girl, her name was Amelia Grace Edwards. I chose the contemporary period because it was during this time that she was brought to life. Therefore in order to fill my mind's curiosity the contemporary period will provide me with excessive knowledge as to what major literary events have taken place before her birth and events that have taken place during her lifetime.
